Praise & Prana
Kundalini Yoga

“For the spirit of heaviness, put on the garment of praise” - Isaiah 61:3

‘Praise and Prana’ is a Christian Kundalini Yoga class, we do sacred Kundalini Yoga kriya sets to modern Christian and inspirational world music.

Kriya means action and kriya sets are a series of postures, breath, and sound that work toward a specific outcome. They often combine breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, body locks, and postures to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity, and purify the blood. It brings balance to the body, mind, and soul.

The Master of Kundalini Yoga, Yogi Bhajan, broke all the rules by bringing Kundalini Yoga to the US in the late 60’s and teaching this ancient, secret technology to everyday people. He had the gift of prophecy and he knew long ago of the difficult times that we would be facing today as we transitioned into the Age of Aquarius. He said before his passing in 2004 that his spirit would bring in his teachers to spread this technology throughout the world, to help people cope with the times. At that time I was grieving the loss of my sister and struggling with addiction and self destructive behaviors and a friend dragged me out of bed and to a Kundalini Yoga class where my life was changed forever. I wanted to learn everything I could so I signed up for Kundalini Yoga Teacher’s Training and I’ve been teaching ever since.

Kundalini Yoga is non-denominational but it’s often associated with Sikhism. I’ve been called by the Holy Spirit and the spirit of my guru Yogi Bhajan to bring Kundalini Yoga to Christians. This class may not be for everyone, but we welcome you. We are open minded and courageous Christian yogis and we believe in the power of prayer and exploring ancient Eastern teachings for our health, enlightenment and praising God.

But I declare ‘Y’all means All’ at ‘Praise and Prana’! We welcome everyone from all faiths and any skill level to join us. If you don’t feel comfortable with something, don’t do it, and if an exercise is too difficult, you can always go at a slow pace, sit down and meditate or just lay down and take a nap. We don’t judge, we’re here for joy!

We invite you to join us at ‘Praise and Prana’ as we purify our temples of the Holy Spirit and celebrate the power of love, peace and unity in transforming our lives and the world around us.
